What we install

Types of handrails we install

01

Residential Stair Railings

Custom wrought iron or modern steel rails designed around your home — ornamental pickets, minimal flat bar, or horizontal cable. Powder-coated in the color you pick, so it matches the house instead of fighting it.

02

Commercial & ADA Safety Rails

Heavy-duty utility-grade steel built to the ADA and California Building Code requirements your inspector will actually measure — graspable profile, extensions at top and bottom, correct height. Hot-dip galvanized for public works.

03

Exterior Step Rails

Weather-resistant rails anchored into concrete, brick, or wood steps. Galvanized or powder-coated over properly prepped steel, because an exterior rail that rusts at the base is a rail that fails at the base.

04

Wall-Mounted Handrails

Sleek pipe or flat-bar handrails mounted straight to interior or exterior walls — the right answer for narrow stairwells where a posted rail would eat the tread width you need.

Why us

Why choose us for your stair rails?

Built to pass inspection

Every rail is fabricated to the height, graspability and clearance the code requires — 34–38 inches to the top of the rail, a profile your hand actually closes around, and the extensions inspectors look for. We build it right the first time so it passes the first time.

Mounting that doesn't wobble

Wood, concrete, brick or stone — we core-drill and use industrial-grade anchors sized to the substrate, then grout or epoxy-set them. A rail is a safety device holding someone's full body weight. It gets mounted like one.

Custom-welded, not a kit

No pre-made big-box kits cut down to fit. We measure your exact step angle and rise, then fabricate and weld the steel in our Petaluma shop for your stairs specifically. That's why it fits the run instead of stepping around it.

The record

You don't have to take our word for it

Anyone can call themselves a welder. These are the things you can look up before you let someone anchor a safety rail to your steps — all of it public record.

Questions

Straight answers

How much does a stair handrail cost?

+

It depends on the run length, the material, and what we're anchoring into — a short set of concrete front steps is a very different job from a two-story ornamental staircase. We measure on site and give you a fixed written quote before any steel is cut. No hourly surprises.

Will my new railing pass code inspection?

+

That's the point of building it custom. We fabricate to the California Building Code and ADA requirements for handrail height, graspable profile, and extensions. If your project is being permitted and inspected, tell us up front and we'll build to the inspector's checklist.

Can you anchor a railing into existing concrete steps?

+

Yes — that's most of what we do. We core-drill the existing concrete and set industrial anchors, or weld to a base plate depending on the step. Brick, stone and wood treads all have their own correct method, and we use the one that suits your steps.

How long does installation take?

+

Most residential stair rails are measured on one visit, fabricated in our Petaluma shop, and installed on a second visit. The shop time is what makes it fit properly. Call us with your timeline and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit it.

What areas do you serve?

+

Petaluma and the North Bay — Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Sonoma, Napa, Novato and San Rafael, across Sonoma, Marin and Napa counties.
